Delete your account
You can delete your The Tide Chart account, and everything attached to it, from the app or from this page. It happens immediately and it cannot be undone.
The short version
Deleting removes your account and every row attached to it — favorites, alerts, synced preferences, the devices you registered for notifications. There is no waiting period, no partial copy kept, and nothing to restore afterwards.
What deletion removes
All of it, in one go:
- Your account itself — the name and email address you gave us, and your password.
- Every station you saved as a favorite, and the order you put them in.
- Every alert you set, and the record of the alerts already sent to you.
- The preferences that sync between your devices: units, appearance, language, simple mode, last station.
- Every phone or tablet registered to the account for notifications.
- Every way into the account: app tokens, the “keep me signed in” cookie, and sessions open in other browsers.
- Any password-reset link still pending for your address.
What we keep
Nothing. There is no archived copy of a deleted account, and no analytics profile to detach you from — our analytics only ever see aggregate page views, never an account, which is set out in the privacy policy.
One thing sits outside your account: a message you sent through the contact form, or through the request form below, is stored so a person can answer it. It is not part of the account and does not go with it — ask us and we will delete it too.
How long it takes
It is immediate. The account row and everything hanging off it are deleted in one database transaction the moment you confirm — there is no grace period, no queue and no way for us to bring an account back. A request left on this form instead is done by hand, normally within two business days.
Deleting from the app
In The Tide Chart app for iPhone and Android the path is the same: More › Settings › Account › Manage Account › Delete account. You confirm with your password, and the account is gone from every device you signed it into.

If you can sign in, sign in and delete the account yourself on this page — it is instant. If you cannot, tell us the address it uses and we will delete it by hand.
